Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before getting started.
What grades do you serve?
Creekstone Online Academy currently serves students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
What subjects are offered?
We offer live instruction in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies, along with enrichment courses. Families can enroll in individual subjects or choose a full membership for broader access.
How does a live class actually work?
Students join their class via Zoom and participate in a real, active classroom session alongside in-person microschool students. This isn't passive screen time — students are expected to participate, ask questions, engage in discussions, and interact with their teacher and peers just like they would in person.
How many students are in each class?
We keep class sizes small — no more than 10 students per class. This allows teachers to give each student real attention and ensures everyone has a voice in the room.
What technology does my child need?
Students need a computer, laptop, Chromebook, or tablet with a reliable internet connection, and a pair of headphones. We also recommend having paper, a pencil, and a small whiteboard on hand. Any additional materials specific to a course will be provided or communicated ahead of time.
Are classes recorded?
Classes are not recorded. Creekstone is built around live, real-time interaction — the relationship and participation piece is central to the experience. If your family misses a class, reach out to us and we'll do our best to help you stay on track.
What if we miss a class?
Life happens. If your student misses a session, just reach out to us and we'll work with you on next steps. Because our classes are live and interactive, consistent attendance helps your child get the most out of the experience.
Is Creekstone accredited?
We are actively working toward accreditation. If accreditation is an important factor for your family, we're happy to talk through what that means for your student's situation and answer any questions you have.
How is Creekstone different from a virtual public school?
Virtual public school programs rely heavily on pre-recorded content and independent, self-paced work. Creekstone is built entirely around live instruction and real relationships. Your child isn't watching videos — they're in a classroom, with a teacher who knows their name, learning alongside other students in real time.
When can we enroll?
Enrollment is open now. Classes begin August 24, 2026. Reach out today to reserve your spot and we will walk you through next steps.
Do you offer sibling discounts?
Yes. Families enrolling a second child receive 10% off their tuition, and families with three or more children enrolled receive 15% off. Founding families who enroll early also lock in their rate for the life of their enrollment.
Still have questions? We'd love to hear from you. Every family's situation is a little different and we're happy to talk it through before you commit to anything.
